Wet coat, damp hat, cold hand
Yet to the rendezvous traveled he
Would the other in the rain stand

Arrived, the other one not yet there
Let's walk around the block a bit
Time and space man has to spare
Except when death clasps him to it.

Why! there he is the other talking
I just came a little tiny time ago

Black eyes were hers in gleam
