2. A little Soliloquoy

Een now as I sit
	Pen in hand, brow in palm
Little man, dost thou know
	What the next five seconds bring?

Here they are, count them sir,
	One, the next one, two
Three followed by four
	And five completes the tale.

Yet in the one, two, three,
	Four and five, the hand
What has it done?  The brow
	What has it run?  Fool

Knowest thou not, thy question
	of the five are not for answer
Yet write on, that some one may
	Read, wonder, and read on

If this be the reason
	Then let us write that
Others in reading find
	A cause for living

One, the next one, two
	Three followed by four
And five completes the tale
	That is life, my sweet one.
