23. A chess game

Pawn takes pawn, pawn takes pawn
Knights seizes pawn, bishop captures knight
Queen destroys bishop, queen rends queen
Alas, the ladies leave the battle, for
Little pawn, the little soldier, grabs queen

The battle goes on anew
	Puppets countered and removed
Till lone king and rook stands
	'Gainst rook protecting king

The experts immediately declare
	The game a draw, no win
Rooks are taken off and I remain
	Even as two kings, to be born and to die
