With a mind choked and groping
At a small blunder
Meaningless, without hoping.

Moving an organism, beating
Without a shred of meaning
Always and ever repeating
Never tired of leaning.

Only the oblivion of sleep
To solace the bitter sweet
Tang that could keep
The steady heart beat.

Cry in the crowd
Of a lonely crush
Of people, loud
In a mindless rush.

Stifled on paper vote
To compete for reasons
Not worthy to note
At the second of the seasons.
