For only the gods can wait for
The ripening of soul and the patience
That must go with reform.
Give me your sweet, your innocent
And starry eyed.  For holding hands
And talk, not of maudlin things
But intelligence and a cultural
Bent.  By a smile, enough,
And kind.  For a look can be
A new and glorious world.
