GENERATIONS Copyright (C) 1997 by Not Nice Music II. A COLLECTION OF OBSCURITY by Edwin M. Drogin 73. Earth and Concrete People of the city around me, gasping for air and earth getting nothing but smooth concrete no hills, no valleys, just concrete. How pitiful to see them banded together like packs of animals laughing and crying on the orners sitting on stone stoops making love in front of a candystore which spills its gaudy colors over their faces making them appear garish imitations of life. Walking down a country road. Birch trees on the left lean over as if to caress the earth, while clean smells come pouring forth from the woods. The green of trees and the perfume of flowers. The sun trickles down through lazy pines a boy and girl walk on paths of dusty brown earth On the highway cars roar by disturbing the crickets.
